Zion Williamson is Looking Better Than Ever!
Zion Williamson is back and looking healthy. It was awesome to see him windmill dunk and finish strong around the rim. He showed his defense with some great steals. He also blocked Rudy Gobert.
Zion Williamson is back and looking healthy. It was awesome to see him windmill dunk and finish strong around the rim. He showed his defense with some great steals. He also blocked Rudy Gobert. Seeing the young power forward return and dominate inside the paint was impressive. He had some cuts to the basket for some highlight dunks. Williamson attacked the defenders to secure a decisive finish at the rim. Zion drew defenders to the paint. Then, he made easy passes to a perimeter player. There were also some quality putbacks. Finishing the game with 6 rebounds, and on top of that, his defense was on point. Zion finished with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Zion makes the league fun, but there are questions on about his health and new body.
With the new body that Zion possesses, questions need to be answered. Such as will his new body be sustainable with his playstyle. Zion is always physical, and he is great at banging against players who are bigger than him. With his height being only 6'6", his body is what helped him finish strong around the rim. But, with this weight loss, there is now a worry about whether he can still finish strong around the rim. The sample size from a couple of nights ago was incredible to watch. He was more fit and still played strong against Julius Randle. But the hope is that the 2-time All-Star can alter his game.
With a new body and as Zion is getting older, he should look to add a lot more to his game. Zion Williamson is great at finishing at the rim. He's one of the league's most underrated playmakers. But he needs to develop a consistent 3-point shot. If Williamson develops an outside game, he can draw in defenders. Then, he can attack the basket and finish strong. Like how Blake Griffin was able to open up the floor for himself as he can hit threes. It makes it easier on his body and can grant him a healthier career. By adding to his scoring, Zion could demand attention. Then, his passing ability could shine. He is a talented passer for his position.
Zion Williamson came out strong in his return. It was awesome to see him dominate last night as he finished with 22 points. The Pelicans have had bad luck when it comes to their generational stars' health. There are rumors that New Orleans is looking to move him away, which has a lot of fans agreeing. But it would be hard to replace someone like that. If the Pelicans get a good trade offer, they should move him. If not, they should keep him and hope to get Cooper Flagg. Regardless of his future, this return game was a good sign for the 25-year-old. Zion Williamson has looked better than ever in his first game back!
