Second Round NBA Playoffs.

The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Denver Nuggets in seven games.

The Minnesota Timberwolves came out so strong in games one and two. Anthony Edwards looked like Michael Jordan out here. It looked like he could win the league. The way Edwards was able to shut Jamal Murray down was impressive. Naz Reid was great off the bench. He was ready for the playoff spot and was one of the biggest factors for the Timberwolves. He was a huge spark plug for the team. Rudy Gobert's rim protection was awesome. He made it difficult for Jokic on offense. Karl Anthony Towns was inconsistent. He struggled on the defensive end. KAT was good scoring-wise, as it showed in games 2 and 7. Jaden McDaniels continues to be a great forward. He is great at playing on both ends of the court. Mike Conley Jr. was the perfect leader on the court. Seeing the veteran control both ends of the court was incredible. The Minnesota Timberwolves' depth secured the win. Players like Kyle Anderson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker were huge bright spots. They came off the bench. This series was all about depth, and their players showed out!

The Denver Nuggets' upset was huge. Nikola Jokic played like an MVP through and through. His passing was incredible, along with his scoring. Rudy was able to give Nikola a hard time, but The Joker can always dominate on the court. Jamal Murray was struggling on the court. He couldn't hit his shots when it mattered. You can see the frustration on Murray's face. Edwards was stealing his lunch money. Michael Porter Jr.'s lack of shot creation showed. He couldn't create his shot, which led to him taking difficult shots. The Nuggets missed Bruce Brown. He was huge for the Nuggets' bench last year. Denver didn't have energy off the bench. Christian Braun and Reggie Jackson failed to fill in the hole that Bruce left behind. This off-season, the Nuggets will look into bringing in a six-man. It was a disappointing season for the Nuggets. We have to see who Calvin Booth brings to the team.

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Oklahoma City Thunder!

The Dallas Mavericks were incredible in their win against Oklahoma. Luka Dončić has proven to be an MVP contender as he led the charge. He averaged an incredible 25 points per game. He shot 39% from three, 44% from the field, and made 8.7 assists per game. Kyrie was the series' second-best player. He continued his redemption tour this postseason. People said he'd leave the game soon and retire. But Kyrie showed he can still play at a superstar level. Derrick Jones Jr. and PJ Washington were great in the wing spot. Being terrific on both ends of the court. Dereck Lively II had huge energy off the bench for the Mavs. Daniel Gafford was dominant in the paint throughout the series. Averaging 11 points, 7.6 rebounds per game, and 2 blocks. Gafford was a huge x-factor for Dallas.

Oklahoma City had a great season this year. Finally, their rebuild has been paying off. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played like an absolute MVP and was able to make a solid run in the playoffs. Shai can score at will and attack the basket. He can create his own shot and is a talented mid-range shooter. But it's his playmaking that needs much polishing. He needs to do a better job of finding his teammates and creating shots for them. Isaiah Joe was great at hitting his shots. Jalen Williams had a tough playoff series. It seemed like the playoff ball was able to have a huge effect on him. He didn't step up as the second option. Chet Holmgren was not able to hold down Daniel Gafford. It seemed like Gafford was able to get his way around him. OKC, with their coach of the year, along with their young squad, have a lot to build on.
