Robert Williams III: On the Market?

Robert Williams III has been one of the most underrated centers in the league. A talented rim protector and finisher in the league. But throughout his career he has faced injuries. Now, Robert is back, and it seems like he has picked up where he left off.

Robert Williams III has been among the most underrated sixth men in the league. Rob is great on both sides of the court: a talented rim protector and a great finisher around the rim. Robert Williams III is a smart player with good hands. He can catch the ball for the dunk and is an amazing help defender. Williams III can guard the one through five players on the court. All these features make a player valuable. But injuries have plagued Robert Williams III's career. Therefore, teams are hesitant to trade for him.

Rob Will was incredible during the Boston Celtics' run in 2022. Despite having meniscus surgery in March, he was able to tough it out through the playoffs. Williams III was the team's defensive anchor. He made the second defensive team and averaged 2.2 blocks per game. Having the best season of his career and panning out to be the player that the Celtics were expecting him to be. Robert Williams III showed in that finals run that he can be a key player in a champion run. He can anchor the defense and does not need the ball on offense. But the problems he has faced have been injuries.

The Boston Celtics' last off-season decided to cut their losses. Robert Williams III never played more than 60 games in the five seasons he wore a Celtics jersey. Boston got the Jrue Holiday. He was a key defender in the 2021 NBA Championship. A lot of fans felt like it was an oversell, but it paid off big for the franchise as they won their 18th championship. But for Williams III, he found himself missing his whole season. Dealing with leg injuries throughout his career. It has been tough for the 27-year-old to play a full season. Williams III has returned to action., and it seems like he has not left a beat.

Robert Williams III was incredible against the Timberwolves. Scoring 19 points on 9-10 shooting, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. Rob Will picked up where he left off. He was a huge spark plug off the bench. Robert was active around the rim and was great at guarding the perimeter. Creating a lot of his shots by taking part in the pick-and-roll offense. Williams III is slowly building up his value, which is good for a rebuilding Portland team.

The Portland Trail Blazers are not a good team by any means of the imagination. They are in the hopes of getting Cooper Flagg in this upcoming draft. Having a lot of young, talented players who have been trying to find a spot on the rotation is an issue. Rob Will makes the Trail Blazers better on both ends of the court. Which increases their chances of winning games. That is not good for the organization. If Rob Will keeps hooping, the Kings, Bucks, or Lakers might blow up the Trail Blazers' phone. But with his injury record, it could make a lot of teams hesitant to make a trade deal. Despite Robert Williams III being a good playoff player. If the 27-year-old remains healthy, he could find himself on a team where he could make a difference.
