The Sacramento Kings, for the past few years, have made great moves. From trading for All-Star Domantas Sabonis to signing Mike Brown as their head coach, The Kings made one of their most underrated signings when they brought in Malik Monk. They acquired him at a bargain. That signing has paid off dividends. Malik almost won the sixth-man-of-the-year award. He was a big reason why Sacramento missed the playoffs. So, the off-season conversation was, can they bring him back?
Malik Monk was great off the bench. He averaged 15 points per game and shot 35% from three. He was a key factor in Sacramento's offense, and that's why they were a competing team. The conversation around the Kings' off-season was, "Can they resign Monk?" A player who was the third option on a fringe playoff team is trying to build a winning culture. This off-season will determine if the Kings will let him walk. This would not be a surprise. Or will they resign him? Now that the off-season has hit, the Kings have made a notable move. They have resigned one of the best sixth men in the league. What an incredible deal it is.
Finally, Monk has had his big break. From the Charlotte Hornets letting him walk to taking cheap deals with the Lakers and Kings, He has finally gotten the long-term deal that he sought. A cool 78 million-dollar deal for four years is a sweet deal. It's a tradeable contract. He is a huge spark plug off the bench who can take over the offense. Monk is great on and off the ball. A great x factor for the Kings and a great way to start off the off-season. The direction for the Kings is up.
Pascal Siakam returns to the Pacers.
Incredible post-season by the Indiana Pacers. They've beaten teams like the Bucks and Knicks. They made their way to the Eastern Conference finals. Pascal had his best post-season this year. Averaging an easy 21.6 points per game, 7.5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game, Siakam is getting the big payday that he deserves. While getting over the playoff slumps he has had since 2019. He landed his dream team, and a lifelong aspiration was finally realized.
ESPN Sources: All-NBA forward Pascal Siakam intends to sign a new four-year, $189.5 million maximum contract to return to the Indiana Pacers. Siakam plans to sign deal once league’s free agency moratorium ends on July 6.

Pascal Siakam has always wanted to play with Myles Turner. Many reports have talked about how Pascal wanted to play with a stretch big who can be a good rim protector. He will play with an All-Star point guard. Tyrese Halliburton can get the ball right to Siakam. Rick Carlisle showed that he can still coach at a high level. Playing with a Hall of Fame coach gives you more reason to stay in Indiana. The Pacers have been a consistent franchise and have done a great job in their rebuild. It'll be interesting to see how the Pacers play next season.
The Indiana Pacers are most likely running it back next year. Halliburton had a big year and earned an All-NBA spot. He also traded for All-Star Siakam. It will be exciting to see them play together for a whole year. Andrew Nembhard had a great playoff debut. The Pacers were one of the deepest teams in the league. With Bennedict Mathurin coming back next year, we'll see how a healthy Pacers play. The Indiana Pacers started off-season taking care of priority number 1!
