MVP Anthony Davis?!

Anthony Davis has looked like an MVP player averaging 33 points per game, 12 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks.

The NBA season is starting hot so far. The Lakers have been incredible to watch, as they have a 3-win record and 1 loss. JJ Redick has been a net positive this year. The team seems more motivated compared to when Darvin Ham was running the show. It has shown that JJ is running plays for AD and getting the ball to the big man as he can dominate inside the paint. Having LeBron James as the guy to be the playmaker is a dream come true for an off-ball player like Davis. Along with being a talented defensive player who can guard inside and out. Averaging a monster 2.5 blocks in the past games and 33 points on 55 percent shooting. The Lakers have shown to be a new team with the 31-year-old big man running the show.

Anthony Davis has finally bought into the center position. Throughout his career, he never wanted to be the team's center. Instead, he was the power forward. He played next to DeMarcus Cousins, JaVale McGee, and Dwight Howard. At times, he came off as soft, as he at times would not dominate in the paint but instead settled for jumpers. But this season he has become a different beast. AD will be willing to finish at the rim. Play behind the basket and dominate other big men instead of playing like a guard. Centers like Sabonis, Rudy Gobert, and Jusuf Nurkic could not handle Unibrow in the paint. Along with dominating in the paint. Making it difficult for opposing players to score inside. And being dominated on the boards. The Lakers and LeBron James have been looking for a player to take the load. AD has always been the person talked about, and it is finally happening.

This is the best teammate LeBron James has ever had. It is awesome to see that James can enter year 22 and play like it's 2010. We will never see another player like him. One of the greatest, some may argue the greatest, players of all time. One issue Bron always had was he never had a teammate who could take over the reign. Dwayne Wade never was healthy during the Miami Heat big 3. His play was on a steep decline during their time together. Kyrie Irving left too soon, as it seemed like Kyrie would take over the steering wheel. And Kevin Love was always injured and not talented enough to be the first option. So the question was, can someone take the offensive load from LeBron James? Anthony Davis can do that this season.

The Lakers have revamped their team. Data obsessed JJ Redick, who will serve as the head coach. He understands how to use his players. It has shown that with how he is using Anthony Davis. Running the offense through him and setting up plays for him to get baskets. Using the weapons around his superstar big to play off of him. Austin Reaves has been an incredible third option this year. LeBron James has been able to cruise more so far. Rui Hachimura has been a great hustle player. And Dalton Knecht has been a positive rookie. LA could become one of the most exciting teams this year. The season started with a 3-1 record. Anthony Davis was the Western Conference player of the month. This could be the Lakers' year to win a title. If the Unibrow superstar, Anthony Davis, keeps this momentum, he could win the MVP award.
