Kevin Durant: Witness Greatness!
Year 16, Kevin Durant is one of the greatest players to ever watch. Unfortunately, the Suns are trash this year, struggling to make the postseason. He could be on the move this offseason, which will be the talk of the town, which will take away from his great season.
In year 17, Kevin Durant is having another All-Star season. The Suns are having a tough time this season. They're averaging 27 points per game and 6 rebounds. Their field goal percentage is at 53%, while their three-point shooting stands at 35%. Kevin remains one of the best scorers in the league, scoring in many different ways. KD is a top 15 player in the league today.
Kevin Durant is a talented scorer who can score from three, drive to the basket, shoot mid-range, and off the post. KD, even as he gets older and deals with injuries, is still unguardable. He has amazing ball-handling skills for his size. This helps him create separation without difficulty. Durant has the finesse and is taller than everyone on the court, giving him the advantage. He is one of the most difficult players to guard in NBA history and has solid defense to back it.
KD's defense has declined since his Achilles injury. Still, he is the best defender on the team. He has been a strong help-defender in his career. His height also helps him with rim protection. Along with being a solid one-on-one defender. The Suns struggle on defense. Relying on Durant as the anchor isn’t working. That’s why talks of KD getting traded are growing.
The off-season will be interesting. The Suns are spending more than the second apron tax. They are the highest-spending team, yet they aren't performing well. The Suns couldn't trade Bradley Beal because of his no-trade clause. So, they tried to swap Kevin Durant for Jimmy Butler. This move hurt their relationship. He won't sign any future extension, putting pressure on the Suns. Teams like the Mavs, Timberwolves, Heat, and Rockets might trade for the MVP. As he has a rich history of winning and being an elite playoff player.
In the playoffs, Kevin Durant has a rich history of dominance. He won back-to-back championships in 2017-18 and earned two Finals MVP awards. Along with going off against the Bucks in 2011, due to his toe, he could not take it all the way. KD in the postseason has been incredible to watch. He is the highlight in every season he plays in, so, sadly, he may not play in this playoff as the Suns are trash. It is crazy that at year 16, Kevin can remain as one of the most dominating players in the league. Fans are witnessing greatness with Kevin's performances.
One of the greatest players that was a factor in getting me into basketball is Kevin Durant. He is one of the top 20 players of all time and an all-time scorer who can score on three levels while being a good defender. Seeing him get another All-Star selection was special. It shows his greatness. KD should be celebrated, as we will never see a player like him again.
