Karl Anthony Towns is Coming Home!

Karl Anthony Towns is traded to the Knicks.

Shams dropped the biggest bomb in the middle of the night. Karl Anthony Towns is going home. After nine years in Minnesota, where he made his home, Playing during their worst and best moments. Becoming a star there since getting drafted there in 2015. An incredible scorer who can score anywhere on the court. Now he finds himself going to the Knicks. One of the most exciting teams this off-season. Being a second option to Jalen Brunson, KAT is great without the ball. Being able to post up and score the three. This was a must-needed trade for the Knicks organization.

Isaiah Hartenstein left the Knicks this off-season. Taking his talent to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Which left a big hole in New York. He was great on both ends of the court. Being a fan favorite in the Garden. Mitchell Robinson's health has been a problem to add on. He cannot stay healthy. That forced Leon Rose to make a trade. Instead of making reactionary deals, the Knicks played it out right. Which landed them Karl Anthony Towns. A talented off-ball player surrounded by incredible wing defenders. Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby will be awesome next to the big man. And Jalen Brunson's playmaking ability will set up the big man behind the arc or in the post. KAT's offensive ability is perfect for the organization.

Karl Anthony Towns is the perfect addition to this team. The Knicks need a big man. The Celtics have his draft mate, Kristaps Porzingis. An incredible off-ball player who shot 46 percent last season. Along with being great at driving to the basket and playing in the post. Karl does not need the ball to get his shots. Perfect for Jalen, who can generate offense. He will be a huge generator on offense. And open the floor for OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges, who are capable shooters. But the one question that comes is Karl's defense.

Defense does come into question. Karl Anthony Towns doesn't have the reputation of being an incredible defender. Now, he has the responsibility of being the rim protector. No longer is Rudy Gobert there to protect the basket and cover his tracks. One thing the Knicks have that is positive is that Josh Hart, OG, and Bridges are good defenders. So they could be a big help. KAT's defense could be a problem this season. But if the talented wing defenders live up to their hype, then there is no reason to worry.

Karl Anthony Towns and the Knicks feel like a match made in heaven. The All-Star is everything the Knicks would want in a second option. Being able to open the floor could result in a lot of easy shots for Jalen Brunson. And give players like OG, Bridges, and Hart the ability to cut to the basket. Karl is also reunited with his former head coach, Tom Thibodeau. He could be a big help in making Towns a better defender. The Knicks are now perfect in matching up against the Boston Celtics.
