Injuries End the Hornets' Season.
Charlotte Hornets are finished this season with three players out. Grant Williams, Brandon Miller, and Tre Mann have found themselves out for the season. The hope is that they can get healthy while getting themselves a top 3 pick in the next year's draft.
The Charlotte Hornets have finished their season. The team has 12 wins and 33 losses. Three players sustained injuries, so they will not play for the rest of the season. Grant Williams tore his ACL in the early parts of the season. Tre Mann had back disc surgery. Brandon Miller tore a ligament in his right wrist. Both injuries ended three key players' seasons. The Hornets are rebuilding. They hope to get a lottery pick this season. The Charlotte Hornets are giving up, which is unfortunate for the young team.
Oklahoma City Thunder's trade to the Hornets opened up a chance for Tre Mann. He started the season hot. There was talk of him for Sixth Man of the Year and Most Improved Player. Mann was a good shot creator and was able to step up when Miller was out. Scoring 24 points against the Rockets and winning the game. It is sad that due to a back injury he is out. One of the key players who is out this year is veteran Grant Williams.
Grant Williams was a good trade for the Hornets. He was struggling to find himself in Dallas, and then he got traded in exchange for P.J. Washington. Grant had one of his better seasons in Charlotte. He averaged 14 points per game, with 50% shooting from the field and 37% on threes in 29 games. Williams was a perfect veteran for the young Hornets team. But, on December 11, 2024, he tore his ACL, ending his season. The Charlotte Hornets are in a cycle of injuries, which cost them this season.
Charlotte Hornets have finished this season with a horrible record and with a ton of injuries. Grant Williams, Brandon Miller, and Tre Mann have found themselves out for the season. It is a tragedy as the Hornets organization looks to compete for the future. As teams like the Pistons and Rockets have figured it out, the hope is that they can do so too. The hope is that they can land Cooper Flagg to Charlotte and compete from there.
