Franz Wagner: A Star!
Since Paolo Banchero has been injured, Franz Wagner has done an incredible job taking over the team. Leading the Magic to a 10-7 record and possibly making an All-Star team.
Franz Wagner has finally taken on stardom. Dominating the regular season after the fall of Paolo Banchero early in the season. With the superstar out with a torn right oblique since October 31st. The Orlando fanbase expected Franz to prove he is a superstar. And to his credit, he has lived up to his expectations. With a 7-5 record without their main player, Wagner has averaged 28 points per game, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. Wagner looked like a star tonight. He took over and led the Magic to victory against the Lakers. The Orlando Magic rebuild has produced two All-Stars this year. All-around improvements from the young 23-year-old.
Last season, Franz Wagner was one of the worst three-point shooters in the league. It felt like that was one of the skills that was lacking for him to become a star. Franz is great at shooting mid-range jumpers. He can get to his spots. He's also good at rebounding and passing. And a good off-ball shooter. From shooting 28 percent behind the arc to now 34 percent. He has been good at shooting step-back threes. Wagner has become the key in the offense. Creating plays for other players on the team. Franz has also been great on the defensive end this year.
Wagner has been great on defense. He is a great one-on-one defender, shutting his peers down on that end. Wagner does a good job of using his body in defense. With his strength, he forces his team to alter its shots. He is even great at getting steals, as he got five of them against the Lakers. With the Magic's defensive culture, Franz has been able to make strides for Orlando. Franz Wagner is a top 25-30 player this season, and the buzzer-beater was the craziest thing of tonight.

Tonight against the Lakers, Franz Wagner was great at controlling the pace of the game. Wagner was great at cutting to the basket and creating his shots. He was great at passing the ball and getting fast-break shots. Wagner is able to drive to the rim and finish around the basket. He was able to get open on offense with his off-ball play. Franz was great at getting his teammates involved on offense and got 6 rebounds to end the game. After Anthony Davis missed two free throws, Franz hit a tough, off-the-dribble three to win the game. Beating the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis to push his All-Star agenda further.
Franz Wagner is no doubt an All-Star this year. Taking his game to another level by improving his three-point shooting. Orlando Magic's second star has managed to take over the team and lead them to a winning record. Beating the Lakers was incredible for the team morale. Franz Wagner has taken his game to another level. He is one of the best two-way wings in the league. It will not be a surprise that he becomes the Most Improved Player of 2025.
