The Fall of an Empire.
The Fall of an Empire.
Throughout history, we have seen empires fall. The Byzantines lost Constantinople in 1443. The Ottoman Empire fell in the early 20th century. More recently, the Soviets fell in the 1990s. Now, we are seeing the fall of the Golden State Warriors. No longer are the days of Steph Curry by himself being able to tear the league apart and lead the Warriors to a finals run. Klay Thompson isn't the same anymore, and Draymond has been on his decline. The tears seem to be showing as the recent news has come all at once after the Nuggets lost.
Right after Jokic hit the legendary buzzer beater against the Warriors last night, Shams reported that Kuminga has lost faith in Steve Kerr's coaching. “He lost faith in Steve Kerr. He no longer believes Kerr will allow him to reach his full potential”. This hit like a bullet. It is showing weakness in the Warriors franchise, which we have never seen. The future of the franchise making statements like that has to worry Mike Dunleavy. Along with Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody has been upset with his role.
After sitting the final 18 minutes of Nuggets loss, Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has lost faith in Steve Kerr and no longer believes that Kerr will allow him to reach his full potential, sources say.

Moses Moody and his camp have not been happy with the Warriors this season. He hasn't been getting consistent minutes, which could hurt the young player's ego. It is not only a Twitter cry. Kerr's coaching appears to be frustrating to fans. Moody got a standing ovation. It seems like the Warriors' development has been poor. The discussions have been loud on Twitter. The team is not winning games this season. There is no excuse for the Warriors not giving the young players a bigger role. This issue has also been talked about by former Warriors players.

The former second overall pick, James Wiseman, said “he doesn't know why it didn't work out with the Warriors. He insinuated to fans that something was lacking with the franchise. It is odd to see three top-15 picks complain about their roles in the Warriors. Also, if you are a Warriors fan, you must put sweat on your forehead seeing past players make statements like this.

Steve Kerr handled it pretty well and joked about how he, too, used to be frustrated with his minutes. It is good that he handled himself well, as it could have damaged the locker room. Despite being a Hall of Fame coach who has won four rings, Kerr has faced demands from Warriors fans to get him fired. The Warriors fanbase no longer trusts Kerr with their franchise's future. It was on the trending page on X.

Steph Curry is on the decline of his career but is still playing at a high level. But what does that matter if the Warriors continue sucking? These frustrated young talents expose the team's weakness. Either Steve and Mike decide to play the young guys or they trade him for a Siakam or Lauri. The suspension of Draymond Green doesn't help the Warriors win games. Klay is no longer the same player. This might be the end of an empire, as they no longer have a hold on the west. Now, the Nuggets are the new empire that has a hold on the West.
