Chet Holmgren: A Rise to Stardom!

Chet Holmgren is one the rise of being one of the best centers in the league. He could end up making the All-Star team this year.

Every season, fans watch as a young player becomes a star. Last year, it was Paolo Banchero earning his first of many All-Star stripes. It is always incredible to see the stars of tomorrow get to share the court with the stars of today. One of the names that has been floating around is Chet Holmgren. Now entering the third year of his career and playing his second season in the NBA. The young big man has shown a lot of promise since last year. Coming in second place behind generational superstar Victor Wembanyama. Plus being an important key factor in leading the Thunder to the playoffs as the first seed. The young Thunder showed the world a lot of promise. And he is living up to it the past four games Chet has played this season. Looking like an All-Star this year and a great second option for Shai Gilgeous Alexander.

Chet Holmgren looked weak last postseason. Due to the lack of strength, players were able to be more physical with the young big man. His woes showed against the Dallas Mavericks, as the veteran team was able to beat the young Thunder team. So in the offseason, Chet made an emphasis on improving his strength and coming back stronger. So he could match up against big men like Anthony Davis and Nikola Jokic. Also, he had worked on his offensive skills as he plays like a guard. A guy who can handle the ball, shoot, and playmake, along with being one of the best rim protectors and rebounders. A true defensive anchor that makes the Thunder one of the best defensive teams in the league. Despite being only 22, Chet has the mindset of a veteran. A player who will shape the future of the big man position.

The conversation about the Western Conference center spot is intense. Chet shares the conference with Jokic, Sabonis, Gobert, and AD. But if Chet continues to be one of the best two-way players in the league, there is no doubt that he will make the team. Or he could end up being in the conversation for the All-Defensive team. The sky is the limit for Chet. He is special. It feels like somebody made him on NBA 2K. The way he can play on both ends of the court is amazing. The Thunder not only have the best young duo in the league, but one of the best duos, period. Sam Presti and the organization have played their cards right. With two superstars that could one day be MVP. Chet Holmgren could be an All-Star this year. He is a beast on both sides. A player who has been able to make an impact. There is only one direction for Chet, which is up. The Thunder If they become the best team in the West and Chet is the defensive anchor, then there is no debate that Chet should be an All-Star. Instead, it will be about whether he should start or be a reserve player in the big event!
