Cade Cunningham: Double-Double Machine!
The Detroit Pistons have become watchable. Which has resulted in Cade Cunningham playing his best basketball this season. The way he has been able to create for others and get his shots at ease has been incredible. At 23 years old, it is crazy to see how high of an IQ he has on the court.
The Detroit Pistons are finally interesting! After a disastrous season under Monty Williams, spacing was a mess. JB Bickerstaff has made this team much more interesting. Players are hustling on defense, and the floor spacing has been great. Point guard Cade Cunningham has a team now. He can create his shot and make some amazing passes. Tonight, he had an awesome double-double against the Miami Heat. He scored 20 points, had 18 assists, and grabbed 11 rebounds. It was a work of art to see him score and assist players like Malik Beasley and Ausar Thompson, who each got 20. At 23, it is crazy how high his IQ is. Cade could make the argument for the All-Star team this season. His ability to score and create shots for others sets Cade apart from other players.
Cade Cunningham's passing ability is what makes him special. Cade is great at driving to the basket. Defenders try to close out on him. He then passes to the open shooter. One of the best aspects of his passing has been his lob ability. Jalen Duren thrives on the amount of lobs his point guard gives him. Rebounding is another part of his game that makes Cade legit. Due to this skill, it is easy for him to create fast-break chances. This has made them the ninth-best team in the fast-break category. Cade knows where all his players are, whether it is cutting to the basket or spotting up. What helps him create plays is his ability to score at will.
Scoring is one of the most important aspects of the game. Especially for an upcoming superstar in Cade Cunningham. And man, he has shined this season so far on that end. Cade can shoot from the post, shoot threes, and drive to the basket with ease. He is great at using his first step to get into his spots. Along with using the screens to get separation from the defenders. And he is good at using his strength to finish at the rim at ease. But one noticeable thing is his ability to hit spot-up threes. Cade is dangerous to leave by himself. He is dangerous on the offensive end, making it difficult for the defenders. With the improvement of the Pistons roster, there could be a discussion for a future All-Star spot.
The All-Star game will be tough to crack. With guards like Darius Garland and LaMelo Ball, some argue they should be on the reserve team. It will be tough for Cade to stick out like a sore thumb due to the lack of eyes on the Pistons team. But there could be a possibility of Cade making his first. He is a walking double-double. He has improved his team's performance. If the Pistons make a run for the play-in and have a solid record, he could join in on the argument to make the team. Cade's career is going up with how he has performed. He is someone teams will always have to watch out for on offense.
The young 23-year-old star has continued to be special. The Pistons have figured it out. They can make the play-in. This has unlocked Cade's talent. His ability to score at will and pass has been clear this year. With the way he has been able to create plays for his teammates and score from anywhere on the court. It has made the Pistons must-see television. His ability to draw defenders has made him a double-double machine. Cade Cunningham has been one of the most exciting players to watch this season!
