Are the Bucks Relevant?
The Milwaukee Bucks went from winning the 2021 Finals to now being stuck. The Knicks, Sixers, and Celtics have gotten better. They have improved their rosters. Meanwhile, the Bucks have stagnated. Keeping the same core of Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, and Brook Lopez since 2019. Along with Damian Lillard, who can score with ease but gives up a lot of points. Which had a huge effect on the season. From firing Adrian Griffin in the middle of the season and signing Doc Rivers. Bucks suffered a grueling season that concluded in crushing defeat. With Giannis getting injured in the first round and losing to the young Indiana Pacers. Also, it hurts the Bucks franchise that they lack any flexibility to make any moves.
Milwaukee Bucks do not have any flexibility. Now, their aging player, Brook Lopez, is declining. And Khris Middleton can't stay healthy. This has hurt the organization. Since the finals, Giannis has not been able to stay healthy. That has led to multiple disappointing post-seasons. Especially with Giannis having to act as the defensive anchor. Jrue Holiday was missed. He could guard opposing guards. It made it easier for the franchise player. Dame cannot guard the opposing point guards, which puts a burden on the Greek Freak. The only solid guard defender is Pat Connaughton on the team. Bobby Portis is one of the best sixth men in the league. But that is all the Bucks have. They are not a very deep team and have kept too many players for too long. Instead of trading for players who can make a better impact right now. But, as some players on the court have declined, the Bucks have been left behind.
Gary Trent Jr. was the main signing of the offseason for the Bucks. After having a disastrous season with the Raptors. He was a complete non-factor on a team that was losing. Being shit on both ends of the court. A complete downgrade from his 2021-2023 season. From all around the board, Gary was trash. Along with their draft in which AJ Johnson, who is not a polished rookie, And with Doc Rivers's history of not developing players, it is fishy to think that he develops well. The Gary Trent Jr. signing could be a low-risk and high-reward signing, which is a positive for the Bucks. As he is only in his mid-twenties. The Bucks made no notable signings. The Knicks traded for Mikal Bridges. The Celtics kept their roster.
Welcome to Milwaukee, Gary Trent Jr.!

The Bucks are on the decline. They do not look like a championship team. Rather, they are a team that has been left behind. Giannis Antetokounmpo will always remain an MVP-caliber player. Khris Middleton, when healthy, is a playoff riser. Along with Damian Lillard, who is one of the best point guards in the league. They have not been healthy for a long time. Along with aging and depth, it hurts the future of the franchise. It is hard to say if the Bucks are relevant or not. Giannis will always be an MVP contender. Bobby Portis will always be a top-sixth man in the league. The Bucks as of right now are not contenders and could be irrelevant in the title picture.
