Boston Celtics Repeat?

Boston Celtics Repeat?

The Boston Celtics are coming off a championship. The locker room smells like champagne. They finally won their 18th championship. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, two drafted stars, were able to lead the way. Brad Stevens has been incredible as thr general Manager. Stevens has brought in key contributors such as Derrick White, who is the best role player in the league. Along with Kristaps Porzingis, who is a great two-way center. KP is an incredible rim protector. A guy who can play the pick and roll. Along with being a good three-point shooter, Jrue Holiday is one of the best defenders in the league. Along with being an incredible playmaker and off-ball player. The Celtics are a top-heavy team. But they amazing starters and good off the bench players.

The Celtics kept Derrick White, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jrue Holiday. They did so on affordable deals. Which led the way for Jayson Tatum to finally get the max that he deserves. Getting a five-year, $315 million deal. Jaylen Brown, who received a max contract last off-season. The Celtics were able to do what Denver failed at. Which was keeping their starting five and their sixth man. It's incredible how Boston kept Peyton Pritchard and Sam Houser on cheap deals. They are two of the best bench players in the league. And keeping guys like Xavier Tillman and Luke Kornet on their roster. The Celtics won in the off-season. But Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown felt disrespected. With how the Olympics played out this year.

The Olympics were a huge embarrassment for Jayson Tatum, who did not see the court. Steve Kerr made many mental gymnastics about why Tatum did not see the court. Fans and media alike did not buy into the excuse. Some believe that this will be the last Olympics that Kerr will coach. Now, it looks like Tatum will come back hungry. He trained with the best players in the world. And the lack of playing time for sure fueled the fire. He could play up to an MVP-level player. Tatum would now like to prove the league wrong and go on tear. Win an NBA Finals, which proves people like Steve Kerr wrong. But he isn't the only one pissed.

It is crazy to think that a Finals MVP did not get to play for the Olympics. Jaylen Brown, after a crazy postseason, wasn't even invited out. Derrick White, his teammate, played. It could have been Nike politics that got in the way. With the brand politics that took place this year, it is not far-fetched for Jaylen to go crazy. For him to make another statement this season. Which he has done for the past few years. From the way people complained and bitched about how he got overpaid to winning the Finals MVP. The fuel that these two guys have is scary. Both have proven to be stars with a vendetta. The Celtics could feel that this was a disrespect to their organization. And with the way they have kept their roster, they could be on their way to win another championship

Kristaps Porzingis will not be healthy at the start of the season. As in the post-season, he was dealing with some serious injuries. Despite his problems, he was able to be a key factor in the finals. Having the TD Garden cheer for him when he was going to the bench. Luckily, the Celtics have veteran Al Horford. He's a good offensive player who can stretch the floor and defend. Xavier Tillman could step up as KP looks to recover. White and Jrue are awesome defensive anchors. That could take on the responsibility of being the third option on any given night. Sam Houser is a good three-point shooter and defender. Along with Peyton Pritchard, who can get hot off the bench. With his play-making and scoring. The Boston Celtics do not have to worry about Porzingis missing some time. As the Celtics are deep enough to not worry about losing a key player. That is what makes the Celtics a scary team.

Brad Stevens has done one hell of a job with this roster. Joe Mazzulla is one hell of a talented coach. It is crazy how Boston has been able to keep their roster intact. Celtics Do not worry about Kristaps Porzingis coming too soon. With the depth on their roster. Also, it is scary to think about how much hunger Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum will come with. Both feel disrespected by what transpired this off-season. The duo could look at the regular season as a way to show the league that they are on top. By winning the Celtics their 19th title. Scary times are coming in Boston. They could be able to pull away and win another title. All thanks to Steve Kerr and the Olympic committee.
