The Baby Raptors!🦖

The Toronto Raptors are finally committed to rebuilding. They had their best season in 2019. They won their first championship. Then, they had a great season in 2020. From there on, the Raptors have been stuck. A mediocre team that couldn't be good enough to make a deep run or be bad enough to earn themselves a lottery pick. Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby have entered their prime, and the Raptors have no direction. In the mid-season, Toronto made trades for their future. Flipping OG Anunoby for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. And moving Pascal Siakam for three first-round picks and Bruce Brown. Masai has committed to the future with these moves.

RJ Barrett, the hometown kid, now has the chance to become a star. The 23-year-old wasn't in a position to thrive in New York due to the rise of Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson. Along with Thibs, who is not known for developing young players. Barrett is a good player who is averaging 22 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, and 3 assists per game. With the Raptors new direction, he has the chance to find himself in the league. Though, since coming to the league, he has had problems with inconsistency. He has a chance to figure it out with the new system that is being implemented. He has been the perfect start to the rebuild, along with IQ.

Immanuel Quickley was a fan favorite on the Knicks. Predictions were that he would be the sixth man of the year. Now, he is the starting point guard for the Raptors. He is one hell of an offensive player. He can finish at the rim with ease and can play well. IQ has one of the best floaters in the league. The mid-range jumper makes him more versatile on offense. And he can control his pace. Immanuel is a talented offensive player, and the fact that he is only 24 makes him even more attractive. He is the perfect step for the Raptors to rebuild. The team has a lot of young, talented guards, like the rookie Gradey Dick.

At the start of his rookie season, Gradey had a difficult time figuring out his game. His threes were not going in, and he wasn't very impressive in the G-League. It seemed like he wasn't NBA-ready. He is 51 percent from behind the arc and is averaging 12 points per game. He is a guy who can stretch the floor for Toronto. The perfect young player to surround Scottie Barnes. He is a core piece for the rebuild. The 20-year-old has room to grow his game. He is a good shooter and has shown hustle on the court. The Raptors made an underrated trade by getting Ochai Agbaji.

One of the most unnoticeable moves that Masai made at the trade deadline was to get Ochai Agbaji. The young 23-year-old did not get much of a chance to shine in Utah. He has gained recognition for his 3-point shot and now has an opportunity to evolve into a role player. Agbaji can cut to the basket and be a good off-ball player. Ochai could develop into a solid defender too. He is a young player who has the chance to develop into a role player. This is a good direction for the Raptors, as they have gotten younger and have tons of potential.

The future of the Toronto Raptors looks bright. They have a lot of young talent. They also have veterans like Bruce Brown and Kelly Olynyk, who signed an extension. Darko Rajaković gets to develop a culture with new talent. Instead of having veteran players who are looking to compete, Along with the draft picks, the Raptors own them, which could help them get another lottery player. Toronto already has Scottie Barnes, who is an All-Star. He is a star of the future. Now, Toronto is building him a competent roster so he can compete. The future of the Raptors looks exciting. With talented young players, they are ahead of the rebuilding process. We are looking at the Baby Raptors era now.
