Atlanta Hawks Agressive Buyers!

The Atlanta Hawks made one hell of a trade for Kristaps Porziņģis. With Jalen Johnson returning healthy next season and Dyson Daniels coming off a career year, the Hawks could make a run. The East is open, and Atlanta could make a deep run.

The Eastern Conference is up for grabs due to Tyrese Haliburton and Jayson Tatum being injured. Both key players are out for the entire year. This opens the door for any team to reach the finals. Now, with the Celtics and Pacers out of the way, we could see the others try to make a deep run. One of which is the Atlanta Hawks, who have been struggling to recapture the magic since the 2021 Eastern Conference run. The Hawks, in a move of desperation, have pulled a big move in Kristaps Porziņģis.

For the past few seasons, the Hawks have been play-in teams, but this trade could change that. The coming years are crucial as Trae Young is entering his prime and aims to win during this period. His draftmates, Luka Dončić and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, reached the NBA Finals. Jalen Brunson is thriving with the New York Knicks as he has stepped up as the leader. Meanwhile, Jaren Jackson Jr. is one of the best defenders in the league. There is pressure on the Hawks to make this team competitive. This Hawks trade is perfect with KP's ability to stretch the floor and protect the rim. The Hawks are the perfect team for the veteran big.

Jalen Johnson is back from injury, and Dyson Daniels, the Most Improved Player, wants to build on that. Atlanta could look to compete with a big team. Zaccharie Risacher is back from the All-Rookie First Team and can keep improving his game. The Hawks' next season could be a strong defensive team that can switch onto anyone. Along with Kristaps being able to be the rim protector the Hawks needed for this team the past few seasons. He is great to play off of Trae Young, who is one of the best playmakers in the league today. Atlanta could run all kinds of rotations, which could protect KP's health. Plus, Onyeka Okongwu is a good big man off the bench who could step up when the former champion is out. The Atlanta Hawks can be a strong defensive and offensive team. They have talented two-way players to help them succeed.

Onsi Saleh, the recently promoted general manager, has made a bold move, showing Hawks fans that he is serious about winning a championship. When healthy, Kristaps is an All-Star and a championship-level player capable of performing at a high level. Quinn Snyder has assembled an offensive juggernaut, and the plays he can run for him will be exciting. Along with returning players next season, the Hawks, if healthy, could be contenders.
